1. Find your people

The first tip we’re giving you for your content marketing strategy is to know your audience. You need to know who you want in your website community and why they would want to see your content.

In order to find the right audience for your content, you should create a buyer persona. According to the Hubspot Marketing Blog, a buyer persona is “semi-fictional representations of your ideal customer”, And that’s exactly what you need. If you find your ideal customer, you find the audience you want for your content and if you find your audience, then you find the people that want your content. This will ultimately boost your SEO and create an ideal online community on your website.

2. Choose the right Socials

Know your business and know your audience, and choosing your social media channels will be a piece of cake! Each channel is different so you need to be wise with which ones you choose.

The Pew Research Center explains that young adults and teenagers are most active on Instagram and Snapchat, while older adults spend their time on Facebook. Also, if you do more B2B marketing, you might want to target business professionals on LinkedIn. And if your target audience is women, you will find that the majority of Pinterest users are women.

With this knowledge in mind, you’ll be able to pick the right social media channels that will make your content marketing campaign skyrocket!

3. Content that matters

Why is content marketing important? Content Marketing is a very key piece in getting your company a leg up on the competition. Content is everywhere and we consume everyday. Nowadays people would rather watch a video or look at a photo instead of reading an entire essay about something. Content marketing allows you to build brand loyalty and become more personable with your consumers/followers. How do we create content that matters? Well we’ve created a few tips for 2021 that will help you create content that matters.

Your First step is to know who your audience is and who your target market is. This will allow you to create content that is relevant to your consumers and create a bigger impact and increase brand loyalty.

Next create your content marketing strategy. In marketing a content strategy can help keep you organized and keep a consistency to your brand or company. In your content strategy it is always good to implement a content calendar for each month to keep you and your team organized and to generate new ideas.

Once you have created a content calendar and built up your content strategy you can now move into photography, Videography, and graphic design. These three aspects of content will allow you to maximize your consumers/audiences experience and create more engagement in your posts or emails.

Now you post! After you have created your content you need to post it to the right social media accounts and track the data from those posts so you can improve your content strategy later on.

4. killer visuals

Why do Killer Visuals Matter in your content marketing strategy? Visuals allow you to affect your customer/audience psychologically and leave a distinct impression on them. Why is this a good thing? Affecting someone psychologically can cause them to remember your brand easier and build brand loyalty! Often we think of visuals as just videos but it can also include photos.

Photos are a great way to connect with your audience. They can add some emotion, you can produce lots of it in a shorter amount of time, and it doesn’t risk feeling like it was forced emotion or faked as much as a video. Photos are a great way to quickly highlight an event your company participated in, show off a new product/service, or even give some background on your company and get personal with your audience if you don’t have the time for a video. Photos are also a good way to keep consistency with your posts on macro content and keep a consistent theme or style of your brand. Photos are great and all but they also don’t keep a user engaged as a video, tweet, or story would so you run the risk of low engagement on that post but it’s good to mix it up and combine photos and videos to keep it interesting with your audience on macro content.

Videos tend to take longer to produce but the more time you take on them the more you can tap into someone’s emotions. It’s up to you to know if what this video you’re putting out to your macro content platforms needs to be emotional or not. Sometimes Videos can be pushed too hard emotionally and it can cause the viewer to feel like it was faked or exaggerated to get their attention so it is important to know why you’re putting out a video and who your audience is.

5. Did it work?

The last step of a content marketing strategy is to analyze. How did your content perform? Did you reach your goals? Take a look at your KPI’s to accurately analyze your strategy. The purpose of a content marketing strategy is to get somewhere; to reach those goals. If you didn’t, you may need to just tweak some things and keep trying. And keep in mind that there is always some way you can improve. But you don’t want to be putting in time and money and effort into a content strategy that won’t get you anywhere. You might as well just take that month off and go to Hawaii! So go back to those goals and analyze!

If you use these 5 tips in your content marketing strategy, you are bound to increase your great numbers and interactions. The people on your site will want your content more, and you will be able to share it with them using your social accounts and blogs. Your content will be interesting and specific, and catch the eye of your audience with pictures and videos. And after all those leads start coming in, you will be able to adapt to your data and continually improve your strategy.
